Vertical long-shaft pumps belong to the centrifugal pump family. From a centrifugal pump perspective, they are an improved version of submerged pumps, offering significantly better performance and more stable operation. They represent an advanced and mature type of vertical long-shaft pump developed to meet domestic market demands. These pumps can convey clean water, rainwater, iron oxide scale water, sewage, corrosive industrial wastewater, seawater, and other liquids at temperatures below 55 ¡ãC. With special design, they can handle liquids up to 90 ¡ãC. They are widely used in water supply companies, sewage treatment plants, power plants, steel mills, mines, and other industrial and mining enterprises, as well as in municipal water supply and drainage, flood control, and drainage projects.
Traditional submerged pumps are suitable for conveying media containing particles, high-viscosity liquids, strong acids, alkalis, salts, strong oxidizers, and other corrosive media. New-type submerged pumps are suitable for conveying flammable and explosive light liquids. In traditional submerged pumps, the casing, discharge pipe, and wetted parts are all made of corrosion-resistant materials. The motor is located above the liquid level, while the pump section is submerged below the liquid level, offering strong corrosion resistance, non-clogging performance, and high-temperature resistance. In new-type submerged pumps, the pump body, motor, and wetted parts are all made of special materials. The motor and pump are coaxially integrated and installed below the liquid level, providing maintenance-free operation, high explosion-proof performance, suitability for Zone 0 hazardous areas, and low energy consumption.
